A suzani bedspread from eBay and a Venetian-inspired headboard covered in Nouvelle Orleans, a cut velvet from Clarence House that looks like ironwork, add exoticism to the master bedroom in aBrooklyn townhouse designed by Jonathan Berger. The Napoleon III rope ottoman covered in an Aubusson tapestry is from Henri Vanhoenacker Antiques.
A Modern Take on Retro
For this guest room in a Nantucket cottage, designer John Willey took a 1960s colors combination—aqua and orange—and updated it. Walls are Benjamin Moore's Lido Green. The Straw Woven throw and Maharaja Golden bolster are by John Robshaw.
A Dressed Up Bedroom
A 1970s Kreiss headboard in Clarence House's Flowering Quince dresses up the master bedroom, as does Blake's collection of vintage embroidered footstools and pillows. "The room was going a little girly, but the Rorschach-like art by Adam Helms pushed it in the other direction," designer Steven Sclaroff says.
This large guest room in a Charlotte, North Carolina, house, needed graphic punch. Designer Lindsay Coral Harper started with the Stark carpet, and ended with the Greek Key pendant light from C. Bell. Walls are painted Benjamin Moore's Van Deusen Blue. Vintage nightstands are from Liza Sherman; Julia B. bedding.
