As you might have heard, this month we've teamed up with Birchbox, the beauty subscription service, to curate a box filled with get-moving beauty samples. (Exciting, right?) You still have time to join—just go tobirchbox.com/womenshealth/ by July 23. You'll also get a free subscription to Women's Health and score 100 Birchbox Points—equivalent to $10 in the Birchbox Shop. In honor of our partnership, we'll be sharing Birchbox content throughout this month, starting with their secrets for getting bigger eyes and higher cheekbones (who doesn't want those?). Read on, and stay tuned for more.

Everything about makeup guru Mally Roncal is big—in a good way: her megawatt smile, her A-list clients (including none other than Queen Bey), her insanely successful line of products. She's become famous for giving women a majorly glam appearance ("gorgois" in Mallyspeak): brighter eyes, higher cheekbones, plumper lips. "I'm a drag queen at heart so a full-on 'larger than life' look is my go-to," says Mally. We got her to share her secrets.
For Larger Eyes
To make your eyes appear wider and more awake, start by making a thin line with a darker shade of Mally's Evercolor Starlight Eyeliner like Espresso on the upper lash line. To make your eye shape pop, line your lower lash line with a lighter color like Milk Chocolate. Then, apply a light shimmery shadow—try her Shadow Stick in Firework or Sunlight—on your lid and a darker one like Rosy Taupe in the crease. By applying pply before shadow, you'll get a softer look. Finish with Mally's Volumizing Mascara, directing the wand in toward the bridge of your nose (instead of toward your temples) to create a "starburst" effect on the lashes.
For Higher Cheekbones
Yes, she's biased. But Mally says her Shimmer, Shape, and Glow Face Defining System is the secret to a slimmer and more defined face. First, apply the shimmer powder using the smaller brush to the tops of your cheekbones to lift and illuminate them. Then, use the shaping powder on the temples and hollow of your cheeks to softly contour your face. Set the look by brushing the glow powder onto the apples of your cheeks, blending it up and out with a bigger, fluffier brush to get a warm, diffused finish.
For Plumper Lips
One of Mally's favorite tricks for making your lips appear more full is to apply the Cancellation Concealer to either side of your mouth. Then take a lip pencil that's only slightly darker than your natural color and apply it to the outer corners of your mouth only. Use a lighter shade of lip liner or shimmery pencil like the Beauty Lip Magnifier in Goldenstar to fill in your pout. To add a glossy finish, swipe on one of Mally's High Shine Lip Treatsacross the center of your lips. Then smile big!
