Take A Trip To The Drug Store:
There are plenty of brands of pads, tampons, and even a special cup called a menstrual cup.
The menstrual cycle supplies can be kept in a beach bag, a back pack, or an extra-large purse.
Change Tampons Or Pads Often:
If going out, be sure to take restroom breaks frequently to change pads and tampons.
One major benefit of the menstrual cup is that it only needs to be changed every 10 to 12 hours, which will give you longer protection against leaks then a pad or tampon.
Bring Spare Clothes:
Just in case something happens, and there is a leak, then having a spare pair of underwear and pants will make clean up quick and easy.
Carrying clean clothes around will also give you peace of mind that you are covered in case you are unable to get to the restroom quick enough to change a pad or tampon.
Tampons For Swimming:
Swimming can be fun, but the arrival of your period does not mean you need to stay out of the pool.
With a box of super absorbent tampons, you can dive right in, and swim all you want without having to worry about anything.
Pain Reliever For Cramps And Back Aches:
Many women experience pain in certain parts of their body when they are on their period. To prevent period pain, taking a pain reliever when you first get up in the morning can give you hours of pain relief.
There are stronger medications available if a woman has a lot of period pain including extra strength ibuprofen that will give her pain relief for up to eight hours at a time.
Drink Plenty Of Water:
During that time of the month, a woman’s body is shedding blood, which can last for several days. There are hormones going through her body and some women end up not feeling well during this time of the month.
A woman should remember to drink plenty of water while she is on her menstrual cycle so she will stay hydrated.
The required eight glasses of water a day may not be enough if the vacation involves spending a lot of time outside, and a woman may need to add an extra glass or two.
Do Not Let It Ruin The Fun:
A period comes once a month, but a vacation may only come once a year. Even if a woman is having her period, she should not let it spoil her fun with her family.
A vacation is a time for rest and relaxation, and nothing should spoil the chance for a woman to do what she needs to do to relax and enjoy herself.
