If your daily beauty regimen lasts as long an episode of Scandal, you're not alone: Women spend an average of 55 minutes every day primping, according to a new report by TODAY and AOL.

More than 2,000 adults and 200 teenagers completed surveys, and 78 percent of the women who participated reported spending nearly an hour on their looks because "it made them feel better about themselves." (Of course, beauty products aren't the only remedy against insecurities—just check out these ways to rock more self-confidence.)

We can all relate to wanting to have a great hair day or conceal dark under-eye circles. That's a ton of time! Luckily, these nine time-saving beauty shortcuts can help you cut down that number so you can spend time on more important things—like staying healthy, spending time with the people you love, orgetting ahead at work.
